Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (13Nights /14Days)

Note: This 99/- is an advance booking contribution, dedicated to thoughtfully curating your personalized travel experience.

The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is more than a pilgrimage it is a deeply personal spiritual journey. Over 14 days, you travel from Kathmandu through the majestic Himalayas into Tibet, slowly rising in altitude as anticipation builds in your heart. The first glimpse of Mount Kailash and the serene waters of Lake Manasarovar is an emotional moment that words often fail to capture. Taking a holy dip in the sacred lake and walking the revered Kailash Parikrama, crossing the powerful Dolma La Pass, becomes not just a physical challenge but a journey of faith, surrender, and inner strength. With careful planning, experienced guidance, and comfortable arrangements, this yatra allows you to focus on what truly matters devotion, reflection, and a once-in-a-lifetime connection with the divine.

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (Altitude: 1,400m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your journey and prepare mentally for the sacred pilgrimage ahead. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and meet fellow yatris.

Day 2Kathmandu Sightseeing & Yatra Briefing (Altitude: 1,400m)

After breakfast, visit the revered Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, followed by darshan at Jal Narayan (Budhanilkantha). These visits spiritually prepare you for the yatra. In the afternoon, attend a detailed orientation session covering route information, health precautions, altitude guidance, and essential travel instructions.

Day 3Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (Altitude: 1,420m)

Today begins the overland journey as you drive through scenic Himalayan terrain towards Syabrubesi. The route winds through hills, rivers, and traditional villages, offering beautiful mountain landscapes along the way. After an 8–9 hour drive, you arrive at Syabrubesi for an overnight stay.

Day 4Drive from Syabrubesi to Kyirong (Altitude: 3,500m)

After breakfast, proceed to the Nepal China border to complete immigration formalities. Once across the border, enter Tibet and continue the short drive to Kyirong. As the altitude increases, the landscape gradually transforms into vast Tibetan terrain. Rest well to allow your body to adjust to the higher elevation.

Day 5Drive from Kyirong to Saga (Altitude: 4,290m)

Today’s journey takes you across the magnificent Tibetan plateau toward Saga. The drive offers breathtaking views of wide open valleys, snow-capped peaks, and serene high-altitude scenery. On arrival in Saga, relax and prepare for further ascent in the coming days.

Day 6Acclimatization at Saga (Altitude: 4,290m)

This is an important rest day for acclimatization to the high altitude. Gentle walks and hydration are recommended to help your body adjust. Proper acclimatization ensures a safer and more comfortable continuation of the yatra.

Day 7Drive from Saga to Manasarovar (Altitude: 4,550m)

Today is one of the most emotional days of the journey. Driving via the Mayum La Pass, you will witness your first glimpse of the majestic Mount Kailash and the sacred Lake Manasarovar. Upon reaching the holy lake, you may take a ritual bath (optional) and experience deep spiritual serenity. The parikrama of the lake is completed by vehicle before retiring for the night.

Day 8Manasarovar Rituals & Drive to Darchen (Altitude: 4,620 m)

In the early morning, perform pooja, homa, and other spiritual rituals at the sacred shores of Manasarovar. The peaceful atmosphere and divine surroundings make this a deeply moving experience. Later, drive to Darchen, the base camp for the Kailash Parikrama.

Day 9First Day of Kailash Parikrama- Darchen to Diraphuk (Altitude: 5,000m)

The sacred Parikrama of Mount Kailash begins today. After a short drive to the starting point, the trek begins toward Diraphuk. The walk offers stunning views of the north face of Mount Kailash. This moderate trek is both spiritually uplifting and physically engaging.

Day 10Second Day of Parikrama- Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass (Highest Altitude: 5,650m)

This is the most challenging yet spiritually powerful day of the journey. You ascend to Dolma La Pass at 5,650 meters, the highest point of the yatra. After offering prayers at the pass, descend carefully via the sacred Gauri Kunda. The trail then gradually levels out as you proceed to Zuthulphuk for overnight stay.

Day 11Complete Parikrama & Drive to Saga (Altitude: 4,290m)

After completing the final stretch of the Parikrama, you return to Darchen and rejoin fellow yatris. The group then drives back to Saga, carrying with them the blessings and fulfillment of completing the sacred circumambulation of Mount Kailash.

Day 12Drive from Saga to Kyirong (Altitude: 3,500m)

Today you will begin the return journey, driving back across the Tibetan plateau toward Kyirong. The landscapes once again offer moments of reflection as you descend gradually from the higher altitudes.

Day 13Drive from Kyirong to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1,400m)

After completing border formalities, re-enter Nepal and continue the drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, reflect on the transformative experiences of the yatra.
